Set up fal.ai for Marketing Studio
Create an account, add credit, make a key, set a spending limit and paste the key into your site.
1. What it does in Marketing Studio
Video is part of Marketing Studio Pro. The free plugin on WordPress.org does not make videos. Video only (Pro). fal.ai does not do text or photos in Marketing Studio. Video is in beta in Marketing Studio. In Marketing Studio choose the video provider preset “fal.ai”.
3. Billing, credit and free tier
fal.ai charges per generation, and its documentation describes buying credits in the dashboard. Open Billing in the dashboard to add a payment method or credits. Your concurrency limit grows as you buy more credits.

Open the Keys page of the dashboard and create a key. When you create it you choose permissions: the API preset is enough for Marketing Studio, which only calls models. You can also limit a key to a list of allowed models in the Allowed models tab at creation, but this cannot be changed afterwards. If you are part of a team, select the team in the top left first, because keys belong to the account that created them.

I did not find a hard monthly spending limit in fal.ai’s documentation. The billing dashboard shows spend, invoices and payment methods. Keep the credit you buy small, use a key limited to the API preset, and check the dashboard after video runs, since video generation is charged per run.
Pricing documentation ↗6. Paste the key into Marketing Studio
In WordPress go to Marketing Studio > Settings > AI and open the video settings (Pro). Choose the video provider preset “fal.ai”, paste the key and save. Marketing Studio stores the key on your own website and sends requests straight from your site to the provider. Nothing is sent to us. You can also change settings from inside the Studio: choose the gear “Settings” in the left rail, or the ••• menu and then Settings.
7. Where your data is processed
fal.ai does not advertise EU-only processing. Treat the processing location as outside your control and read its privacy policy.
