Set up Anthropic (Claude) for Marketing Studio
Create an account, add credit, make a key, set a spending limit and paste the key into your site.
1. What it does in Marketing Studio
Text captions: yes. Photos, product scenes and video: no, text only. In Marketing Studio choose the preset “Claude (Anthropic)”.
2. Create an account
Create an account on the Claude Platform (the developer console). This is separate from a Claude chat subscription.

Open the Billing page in the console and add a payment method or credit. I did not find an ongoing free tier in the documentation.

Open the API keys page and create a key. Keys belong to a workspace; if you use workspaces, create one for Marketing Studio so its key and limits are separate. Copy the key when it is shown.
API keys ↗ Get started ↗5. Set a hard spending limit at the provider
Anthropic offers a spend limit you set yourself, below the cap of your usage tier. Open the Billing page, find Spend limits and choose Set limit (or Adjust limit). When usage reaches the limit, requests fail with an error until the next month or until you raise the limit. Workspaces can also have their own limits (not on the default workspace).

In WordPress go to Marketing Studio > Settings > AI, turn on AI captions, choose the provider preset named above, paste the key into the API key field and save. Marketing Studio stores the key on your own website and sends requests straight from your site to the provider. Nothing is sent to us. You can also change settings from inside the Studio: choose the gear “Settings” in the left rail, or the ••• menu and then Settings.
7. Where your data is processed
Anthropic is a US company. The standard service does not promise a particular processing location. Anthropic’s API has a setting for US-only or global inference, which Marketing Studio does not set. Check the terms and privacy policy for your situation.
